What is my Pupose?

What is my purpose?
Farming
What is my purpose?  I have several purposes in life.  The first and most important purpose is that I was brought into this world to make it a better place.  I have lived eighteen years now and I have had a few purposes but I have several more to accomplish in the future.  I had purposes when I was young that have been accomplished. As I of right now I have I have a purpose in high school leading up to college.
My purpose as a young kid was to get through elementary, and middle school.  Honestly in think those years were not that great.  As I little kid I got in trouble a lot.  That’s the past though and I have moved on.  As of right now I am in my senior year of high school.  My purpose in my senior year is to get a diploma.  In order for me to accomplish that I have needed to study.  I am a person where stuff doesn’t just stick in your head; I’m a person that has to study a lot.  I can’t stand to get bad grades, so I have a purpose to study hard to get those good grades.  Things like National Honors Society push me to be the best I can be.
After High School I plan on having a purpose to go to college to receive a bachelors’ degree.  My dad is a farmer and he wants me to take over the farm when I get out of college. He has told me several times to go to a community college.  I keep telling him that’s not going to happen because you can’t meet as many girls in a community college like you can at the University of Nebraska.  He got a pretty good chuckle out of that.  I think it’s a pretty good reason if you ask me.  My sister attended UNL and my brother is currently attending.  Also my dad attended UNL.  For all them to attend UNL is makes it my purpose to go there and follow their footsteps.
UNL
My purpose in college is to have as much fun as possible while maintaining good grades throughout my four years.  I plan on going into Mechanized Systems Management to study farming.  My dad has given me a purpose by wanting me to take over the farm when I am out of college.  For me not to let him down as well as the farming business all together, I need to learn everything. I need to learn how to fix things that are broken, to knowing when to buy things, and what things to buy.
Hopefully what my kids will be doing.
While I am learning about farm stuff, my purpose is to study hard, but on the weekends I am going to have some fun while trying to meet girls.  I’m hoping that I will find a girl that I will want to be with for the rest of my life.  I will not come out empty handed.  When I meet that girl that satisfies all my needs, I will soon ask whoever it is to marry me.  I want to have kids in the future, and I want people to say he looks exactly like you.   Hopefully my kids want to play sports when their older because I’m looking forward to re-living my past.  If I get to the point where my kids want to play sports, I am going to give them all the advice I can so they can be the best they can be.  I will probably end up spoiling them, because I will want them to love me.
When I am out of college and got my future wife, I am going to carry on the tradition of being a farmer.  I’m a lucky person to be able to get this opportunity.  In today’s world there are many people growing up on farms.  Also to be able to have this given to me is just a privilege.  Land now a day is a whole lot of money.  People don’t have the opportunity to start a farm business anymore.  So pretty much the only way you can become a farmer is if it’s been a tradition.
Everything I talk about is my purpose in life.  Life is a purpose. You are brought into this world to make a difference.  You want to think about your purposes so you can set goals. Family, school, marriage, faith are my purposes.  I didn’t talk about faith but without god none of this would ever be possible.

Where Am I?

Where Am I?

I am in Honors Composition II as of right of now, and it’s a pretty fun class.  The question where am I can mean several different things form where I was in the past, where I am in the present, and where I will be in the future.  The past is the past and I lived a great one.  As of right now the present is pretty good.  I’m hoping that the future will be even better.  Where am I is probably a question that many people ask themselves.  Why I say that is because, students are always wondering where they will be in the future such as:  Where they are going to go to college, where they will be in ten or so years.  The main places I am now though are Aurora and Phillips, Nebraska.  Also I am proud to live in a country that is protected by men and women of our military.
Right now I am in an English class that is supposed to set me up for college.  I am learning about how to write papers, and how to apply my life.  This class helps me remember where I was in the future and the memories that it brought.  I love reliving the memories that were important to me, because certain ones motivate me to become a better person.  It helps me think of the future more than I normally would, which helps my decisions come easier.
I have been born and raised in Nebraska since November 14th of ninety four.  I have lived in the same house ever since I was born, which is nice.   My family and I live in Phillips, Nebraska located fifteen minutes west of Aurora, Nebraska.  We are a big farm family and have been ever since my Grandpa (Charles) invested in a farm.  As of right now my grandpa has retired because he is a little too old, so my dad (Randall) has taken over the farm.  Ever since we have started our farm business known as McDonald Farms, we have been expanding.  It’s getting harder and harder to expand now day’s because land is extremely expensive.  That’s alright though because we have quite of bit of land already. As farmers we don’t raise any cattle, we just raise corn and soybeans, but mostly corn.  Corn now day’s is the thing to raise.  Having corn over seven dollars a bushel is outstanding.  Back in the days my dad said if he saw corn above three dollars he would be happy.  When corn started going up to three dollars my dad’s eyes widened, so he sold his corn.  What do you know corn kept sky rocketing, and was close to five dollars a bushel.  My dad has never seen that before so he was set and stone on three dollar corn.  You could say that he was pretty upset that he ended up selling.  With today’s corn above seven dollars almost eight I would say he is pretty happy even though he made that one mistake.
I am happy to live in the town of Aurora because of several reasons.  First off Aurora surrounds with me with love with all the people.  Everybody in Aurora is considerate of others no matter what their stature is.  I mean even if you have a broken leg, there nice to you.  Aurora is a town that is big on sports especially football.  We are so big on sports that we take charter busses to away games for the fans, and the fans fill the seats during the home games.  Every year us football players go out and do a fundraiser for our football program to get equipment and what not.  The only way that becomes possible is for our community to pitch in and buy the cards.  Without their money we wouldn’t be as current as we are now.  Then after the football season is over we do the best to give back to our community by volunteering. That’s the great about our community because we do thing for each other.

Our country is way sweet. We have freedom to do whatever we want, when we want, and how we want.  For us to be able to do that, and to even go to school, is a privilege that has been given to us by the many sacrifices of the men and women who gave their lives for pursuit of happiness.
Through all the good and bad I am happy to be a citizen of the great town of Aurora, Nebraska.  Where I am now is the place I hope to be the rest of my life, because there is no better country than the United States of America.  God bless the USA.

Who am I?

Song From My Life

Who am I?

My name is Troy McDonald and I broke my femur.  From the moment I was brought into this world it became better.  I am a dedicated, determined, poised, caring, and a fun person.  I am a person that loves playing sports, and hanging out with friends and family.  One other thing is that I am a person that blieves in my faith that god sacrificed his life for us to be here today.
The main thing that describes me is the sports I play.  I play football, basketball, and golf.  As of right now my career was ended due do me breaking my leg in the quarterfinals game verse Beatrice.  My friend Jacob Peters was the quarterback of our class.  He was the most determined person that I will ever meet in my life.  After he passed away it broke me, because of who he was and that his dreams are now gone.  Before he passed away coach Peterson came up to me and asked if I could throw a football, because my brother use to be a quarterback, and he won the state title.  My response was to him was that I could throw.   This all happened during the baskeball season our junior year, so it would be pretty hard for me to step in Jacobs shoes and play the quarterback position.  Since the day that I was asked to step in was the day that changed my life.  I became determined and dedicated like him so that I would not let our senior class down.  Never before have I worked this hard to achieve something, but it was for Jacob and I wasn’t going to let him down.  During the summer I was working out with the coaches son Troy Huebert who was a former quarterback for Aurora as well as Hastings College.  Troy knew his stuff so he had me do many drills over and over again.  I’m a person that doesn’t really like to do footwork drill exspecially during the summer when it’s really hot.  Again I wasn’t about to dissapoint.  As we approached our first game against McCook I became nervouse.  Gary Peters the father of Jacob Peters was also the person that has done his best to teach me everthing Jacob knew.  Anway before that game and earlier in the week he told me to not think to much and just put everthing together that you learned.  Nerves shot threw me when I steped onto the field for the first time being a starter at anything let alone playing one of the most important positions.  When ran our first play which was a run just to get things going.  A few plays later he called out a fourty yard pass play which ended up being a touchdown.  When I let go of that ball my hands were all sweaty and you could definetely tell that I was a little nervouse because it was wobbly.  After everything set in, we became confident and ended up winning that game.  As of right now we have nine wins and two losses.  It hurts me to know that I will never be able to play football again in my life but I can go back and say I worked my butt off and did everything I could to get us where we are now.
Sports is most of my life but there are other important things to such as friends and family.  I am a peson that loves to get along with people.  To me making friends is really important because most of them will be your long time frineds.  You want to have long time friends so when you meet them in the future you can talk about old memories that were both good and bad.  On the other hand my family is important to me mostly because we are related.  I love my mom and dad because they give me thing everyday and also because they have put a roof over my head.
I am a famer boy that loves to help out his dad work on the farm.  I try to go out and help him while trying to learn everything I can, because someday I hope that I will be able to take over.  Also my father and I can get some important bonding time in which always helps out.  When I take over the farm I hope I can have a wife that will love me for who I am and be able to help out on the farm beside me.  Wants that day comes I consider most of my life complete.
